Come hear the compelling testimony of Ric Shallow...

Eight years ago, on a chilly morning on Camano Island, one of our own members, Ric Shallow, experienced a horrific car accident. His car hit black ice, he slid off the road and smashed into a massive tree. The car was demolished, it was a miracle Ric survived. He was transported by helicopter to Harborview Hospital in Seattle and was within moments of death. Little did anyone know that in those moments, Ric was transported to heaven and he is another one to experience the appearance of the risen Lord, Jesus Christ. No one knew of his experience until months later, as his memory and recollections began to emerge. The reality is, Ric is continuing to heal from the effects from the accident. Step by step God is healing him physically, emotionally and spiritually.
He has written a book about his experience entitled, “The Guy Upstairs”. Covenant Books, a subsidiary of  Zondervan Publishing, immediately wanted to publish his experience.  The book will be available in a few months.
Ric is ready to share his testimony publicly for the first time. Because Ric’s story is so compelling, we are renting the Performing Arts Center at Stanwood High – so that people from the community might feel more comfortable to come and hear his experience.
His testimony will be included in a normal worship service that will include the Choir, Praise Team, hymns and praise music. God’s Word will be read as well as Ric’s testimony. This is an opportunity to move beyond our own church walls and meet the community on a neutral site – whereby they can experience the warmth, friendliness and love of our congregation. They will hear the power of Christ’s resurrection and the presence of the Holy Spirit. And perhaps they will be compelled to join us the following week for one of our worship services at Our Saviours. We can set the table and plant seeds, but it is God who causes the growth, and brings in the harvest!  We are praying that God would do a mighty work in his harvest field on that day. And YOU are an important part of God’s efforts!
Invite and bring a friend or neighbor to this event, it is a wonderful opportunity for us to carry the message forward.  90% of people without a church home, find their way to a church community by way of a simply invitation! Each one, Bring One – wouldn’t it be amazing to fill up the PAC to worship and celebrate our Risen Savior together!
Let us Worship Together and Be Encouraged by Ric Shallow’s Testimony as he shares his Encounter with Jesus in Heaven. IT’s TRUE – HEAVEN IS FOR REAL!

See you there!  Pastor Mark
